Music You Don't Know
Well, most of you don't, at least. Here are a few jams that everyone here at WylanMerris really likes. This music also happens to be made by friends of ours, so we think it would be great if you checked it out. Enjoy!

A Prayer for Owen Meany

Much was made of a New York Times article from a few years ago that compared the diets of two monkeys and their aging processes. "Canto," the monkey fed the healthy, low-calorie diet, was said to look noticeably healthier than his high-calorie diet counterpart, "Owen."
I don't know about you, but Owen looks like the bad boy of the pair to me. He's got a full head of hair, a piercing glare, and an expression that says: "don't mess with this." Canto, meanwhile, looks like a grade A mark. Just a thought.

Merry Christmas
'Tis the season, friends!
We here at WylanMerris know that the holidays can be a stressful time. As the preeminent blog in the small buy growing niche known as CTR (culture, theology, and romance), we want to be a resource to all our readers. To avoid the Christmas morning blues that are so common these days, be sure to check back to our blog early and often for updates.
The picture below doesn't have too much to do with culture or theology. However, we can't rule out that Santa may be pursuing an illicit romance here. So, in the spirit of inclusion (we don't want to offend the thriving cyber-pedophile demographic, which our latest surveys indicate make up 17% of our readership!), enjoy this heart warming picture.

Hey Ya'll!
Welcome to our blog. As you know, WylanMerris is your source for all things related to culture, theology, and romance!
Though we are pretty busy right now due to finals (we are students!), we thought we'd take a minute out to post a link to a music video (how long can I keep up with this royal 'we'?)!
True to form, this video sits squarely at the intersection of culture (the Smiths and Morrissey shaped modern alternative music), theology (no, we're not insinuating Morrissey is God. Rather, a careful look at his lyrics reveal a very interesting humanism that I'd like to dive into at a later date), and romance (The Smith's lyrics are notoriously sultry, and speculating on Morrissey's sexuality is always fun!).
Anyway, enjoy the music video below. If you let it, it may change your life. And if you don't feel a little bit dirty/aroused watching Morrissey's hips swing, then you need to check to see if you have a pulse!
